How WPMove works
WPMove copies posts, pages, custom post types, media and comments from one WordPress site to another — without FTP, without a database dump and without touching the source.
Three ways to migrate
Pick the one that matches where your two sites live. All three carry the same content; they differ in what has to be installed and where.
From wpmove.app
Nothing to install. Our servers read the source and write to the target through the WordPress REST API, in the background.
How a migration runs →Connector Premium · paid plansPush / Pull
Installed on one of the two sites, the plugin pulls content in or pushes it out, media included. Made for a local site or one behind a firewall.
Discover the plugin →Connector · freeFile export / import
Export a JSON file from one site, import it on the other. Free on WordPress.org, no account, nothing leaves your server.

Two WordPress sites
WordPress 5.6 or later on both sides, with the REST API left on — it is on by default.
Two application passwords
Generated under Users → Profile → Application Passwords on each site, for an account that can publish. Your real passwords never leave your hands.
Public HTTPS — or the Connector
wpmove.app has to reach both sites over HTTPS. If one of them is local or private, the Connector Premium does the migration from inside it.
